My name is Cindi, and I’m a Mid-Life Baby-Boomer wife; mom of 2 grown daughters; and have 2 young grandchildren. I’m a native of New England, and live in an historic small town in Connecticut. My interests include Vintage Collectibles, Shopping, Photojournalism and of course, writing!
What I Blog About
I started blogging to share my experiences as a WAHM, and have really grown to enjoy meeting new friends from all over the globe. Originally I had hoped to promote my eBiz through the blog, as well as to share information with my friends. I’m the author of the multi-generational Moomette’s Magnificents blog which covers work at home articles, social media, blogging tips and resources, Family, Parenting, Grandparents and Grandchildren and daily current topics. Many of my readers also have written Guest Posts to share their WAHM experiences. My blogs were recently selected by CBS Local Connecticut as Best Blogs for 2011 in the Lifestyle category, and honored by WE Magazine as one of the 101 Women Bloggers to Watch for 2010 as well as Top 10 WAHM Blogs by Sparkplugging for 2008.
I have written Product Reviews since 2007 with the tag line and from the viewpoint of an experienced Baby Boomer Mom and Grandmom who’s “Been Around the Block” and was recently selected as one of only three Connecticut women to represent Chevy as a CT Chevy Girl on the Go Brand Ambassador. I was also a Brand Ambassador for Hershey’s Summer Celebrations campaign.
I also talk about the personal musings and observations of a Baby Boomer Grandmother from New England, transitioning into retirement and reinventing a second career as a WAHM. Reflections of the trials & tribulations of being a Wife, Mom, Grandmom, Mentor, Boutique eBiz owner & former eBay Power Seller. Family, Women’s & Social Issues, Politics ~ Whatever comes to mind. Hot-Flashing at it’s finest.

I’ve enjoyed creating cooking and baking since I was younger, and am the author of Frugal New England Kitchen. Here I share advice focusing on Grandparents and Grandkids, Family Stories, recipes, my pets and helpful hints from the hearth of a Yankee New England Kitchen.
Both my husband and I enjoy travel and family daytrips. I share events, attractions, restaurant recommendations and photography on my Travel and Photography section as well as my travel website at Daytrip Travel New England.

I started my online presence by opening an eBay store and quickly becoming a Power Seller. I now have a booth at Bonanza, the newest online marketplace. Moomette’s Magnificents specializes in vintage Sewing Patterns & more.
