Connecticut Farm Barn and Pasture

Off The Beaten Path

Earlier this month there was a tragic accident at a clean energy power plant being built in Connecticut along the Connecticut River. My husband and I were out for a ride in Portland, just across the narrowest part of the river from Middletown, where the plant was located. We were able to see the remains of the plant from the road.

Along the way with nothing in site except a small baby eagle, soaring overhead looking for dinner, we passed this quaint farm barn.

I didn’t have my digital camera with me, so this was the best I could do with my cell phone.

Next month I’m giving away a ticket to BlogHer10 in New York City. If you win, you might want to stop by and visit New England and see my neck of the woods! Check out my post for more info!

First off I have to tell you I love the photos you take. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up and I can get out there and take some great shots. I hope that I can get some before the snow goes away, snow always makes some pictures so much more beautiful.

This is really a great picture for a cell photo. I think you need to send some of your photos in for wall pictures they are great shots. HOpe you have a great day

That is so beautiful, I live in Texas and would love to have a snow like that at least once in my life. Though it looks like I will have to travel for it.

The Middletown plant is a huge tragedy. We live down the River in CT also, and it was horribly sad.

Very pretty and peaceful photo. It’s freezing here. It was in the 30′s when we were at Disney, no snow, but darn cold!
