Happy Anniversary
That means I’ve been married for 36 years now!
And then add +4 years for dating before we got married …
If only I was on my way to a Bermuda honeymoon again! Back then, everyone went to Bermuda. We stayed at the Sonesta Beach – which has since been destroyed by Hurricane Fabian.
Let see, in this order - 1 mortgage, 1 dog, 2 kids, 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 rabbit, 1 son-in-law, 2 grandkids … No money … a lot of mouths to feed!
In my mind, this Baby Boomer still looks the same …
Must be some kind of record in this day and age! Do you know many people who’ve been married this long?

Thanks Sharon – do you know that to this day, the sitting is still emblazened in my mind? I can remember almost everything about having the formal portraits taken. Do gals still do that anymore? I know my DD27 didn’t! (at least not pre-bridals before the day of her wedding!)

Bermuda was amazing! It’s not too far from CT, yet you think you’re in the islands, and the people are so nice there. We went back for our 30th (even though I broke my wrist in Bermuda.

Thank you Allison! That’s the photo I chose to put in the Bride’s section of the Sunday Newspaper (Hartford Courant). I don’t think any newspapers do that anymore, except for the New York Times!
And if they do, it’s the guys and gals now. Back then it was only the brides!

How pretty! Congratulations! My parents were married for 42 years before my dad passed and my grandparents were married for 69 years. You definitely don’t see much of that kind of longevity these days. Beautiful.
