Darling Daughter # 2, my baby girl, has moved back home from college. Actually, this is the 4th college she’s attending (but she’ll graduate and receive her college diploma next May!) She’s my happy homemaker. See, I have two darling daughters, and I didn’t make the same mistake twice. This one cleans the house for her Baby Boomer Mama! This one has middle child syndrome, (actually, youngest child syndrome) and refers to herself as “Cinderella.” Now Cinderella’s moving back home, I guess, is, as Martha Stewart would say, “a good thing!”
I avoid spending energy on cleaning, by having Darling Daughter do it for me. I don’t have to dial a maid – I just either IM Cinderella, or call her upstairs on her cell phone.
My trusty 8-lb. Vacuum that I bought several years ago and thought was the bee’s knees is on the fritz. Cinderella used it one too many times in her rent-free room upstairs, and it’s all plugged up. So to thank her for her Domestic Diva contributions, I’m going to track down a Dirt Devil.
Dirt Devil has a better way to save energy. The new AccuCharge Stick Vac and Hand Vac use 70% less energy – making AccuCharge the first cordless cleaning technology to earn Energy Star approval.
I’m just giggling at the thought of instead of a broom, Cinderella would be able to flit around my entire house cordless, without having to worry about plugging and unplugging a power cord! Kids these days are used to cordless technology anyway, with their laptops, cell phones and landlines!
Now don’t you think she’ll be so glad she moved back home from school when she sees the gift I got for her?
