Events & Happenings – Bringing Home the Tree
Our family has had a real tree for over 30+ years. When the girls were little we would visit various Christmas Tree Farms in Connecticut and chop our own.
My charming son-in-law, originally from Vermont, is a traditionalist, and grew up with real Vermont Balsams and Firs! It’s nice to see my oldest daughter and her family carrying on the tradition!

What a great tradition! I can’t tell you the last time I had a real tree! I think of it all the time when I smell one, though!

I’ve never had a real tree, not even once. My mom is allergic to evergreens, and so am I. Never having known a “real” tree, my fake one is okay with me.

that is one thing we never did… when the boys were little we lived in the city… and in the lean years we used a tiny artificial tree many times…
It is great your daughter is sharing this with the next generation!
I couldn’t get Mr. linky to work… oh, poooo!

Wow cool! We cut our own last year and were planning it this year but we ended up just getting one already cut at a local farm.

We have always had a real tree since I love the smell! I always think about getting the artificial so I can put it up earlier, but it just isn’t the same. I have been with a friend to chop down their tree, but my family has never done it. That’s such a great tradition to have.

Cute picture! We have a real tree – in a pot on the deck – first time in 30 years I haven’t put up a tree inside. Life changes, so I’m learning to change with it

How pretty! It looks cold where you live though
I’ve never had a ‘real’ tree – I’m far too lazy, although I love how they make the house smell!

I love the smell of pine needles and if I had a Christmas tree it would be a small one in a container so I could plant it after the holidays.
