School has been out since June here in Connecticut and most classes won’t start again until after the long Labor Day weekend. As a mom of adult children and as a grandmom, I’d like to remind you of the importance of providing learning activities for kids over the summer months. The National Summer Learning Association states that most students lose about two months of grade level equivalency over the summer months.

Summertime is here and what better way to spend the summer with family and friends than on an adventure or camping trip to visit one of our national parks and/or recreation destinations. Bring the Dinosaur Train Volcano Valley book along to entertain the kids!
