Clickbank.com has paid out nearly $2 Billion to online business owners just like you in the last 10 years – and that number is growing fast. Yet, for a lot of marketers, Clickbank has a bad rap. I’d like to spend the next 2 minutes showing you why you absolutely should sell your ebook on Clickbank.

Who does this article apply to?

* If you’re currently selling your product with a simple paypal button. Consider switching to Clickbank.

* If you have a shopping cart (like 1ShoppingCart.com) that you’re using to sell your products. Consider also setting up a separate page or URL where you sell your product on Clickbank.

Here’s why…

Diversification of your Payments.

You may not be aware of this, but PayPal.com has been known to “freeze” accounts while looking into them after they’ve been flagged by one of their employees. While Paypal.com is a trusted company, they do have to watch out for their own interests. So, if this happens to you, your account will not be accessible during that time. That means you can’t withdraw money, you can’t pay affiliates, and you can’t process refunds. You’re stuck. I don’t know about you, but I have bills to pay – which is why I recommend that you also sell products via a secondary payment method like Clickbank. They pay via direct deposit into your Checking account every 2 weeks, like clockwork. If, heaven forbid, your account gets flagged by Paypal – you’ll be able to pay your mortgage while getting it cleared.

Less Book-Keeping.

With Clickbank, you get paid weekly or when you reach a certain dollar amount that you’ve set. That means that you can pay less in accounting fees – because you’ll have a maximum of FOUR transactions per month, assuming you’re getting paid weekly. Compare that to using a paypal button or shopping cart – where every single transaction has to be entered by your bookkeeper – and you can see the advantage.

100,000 + Sales Force.

Yes, Clickbank has the eye of over 100,000 registered affiliate niche marketers in 145 countries. Many of these affiliate search the Clickbank marketplace first when looking for products to promote. If you’re not listed there, they can’t find you.

Clickbank’s HopAds Program.

You may be familiar with Google Adsense, but, did you know that Clickbank also has an advertising program? As a vendor, you can create Ads that automatically show on affiliate websites – based upon keywords. So, if your ebook is about “Saving Money on Groceries” and someone with a frugal or homemaking site puts the HopAd on their site with keywords “grocery” or “save money” – your ad may display in rotation with the other ads – as long as that ad is live on their site.

Hands Off Affiliate Management.

If you’re using your own shopping cart like 1ShoppingCart.com then you have to manage your affiliates or hire someone to do so. While this is definitely a profitable thing to do, some tasks can be a nuisance, like collecting W-9 forms (if you’re in the United States) for taxes. If you sell through Clickbank, that’s not an issue. They handle it for you.

Affiliate Payment Safety Cushion.

If you’re selling your products through your own shopping cart, then every month, you have to make sure to keep a “cushion” in your paypal account so that you have enough money to pay them. That’s not an issue with Clickbank. You ONLY receive your profits after affiliates have been paid. And, Clickbank handles paying them for you. You’re totally out of the loop.

I Stumble from the StumbleUpon  application on my smartphone if I’m a passenger riding in a car.  It’s a nice way to share and to pay it forward and generate some traffic to our blogs.

As many of you know, I’m dedicated to trying to retire from my day FT job to work from home full time and also to try to take care of the grandkiddos.

When my children were young, I used to have a part-time job where I would type at home for a law office. I worked about 30 hours per week at night after the kids went to bed. It brought in a nice supplemental income.

Since I recently received a layoff notice from my employer, I’m going to start implementing the tips and techniques that are in this how-to guide that I would like to share with you.

5 Simple Techniques to Work at Home Forever

If you’ve spent any time online, you will already know that there are lots of scams out there! You might have even begun to doubt that there are any work-at-home positions available for serious jobseekers. If this sounds like you, you aren’t alone!

Believe me, there are real home based jobs, but what most of the work at home sites omit in their information packages is that it takes work to get work. Finding a telecommuting job can be a full time job in itself, but if you don’t have all the facts, you will be spinning your wheels trying to get somewhere or you will probably give up within a few weeks. That would be a shame, because there aren’t enough high quality telecommuters as it is!

Look, I know you’re skeptical. So was I, a few short years ago. That was before I started implementing some very unique strategies that allowed me to generate so much work from my small home office, that I needed to hire extra staff just to keep up with it all!

The strategies I used are actually very simple, and you can duplicate these ideas to become a very successful telecommuter. In fact, I want you to copy my techniques, even if it means I create my own competition! Why? Because every time a new person starts to work from home more successfully and efficiently, that means one more employer is happy with the concept of hiring homeworkers! That means everyone gets more jobs, and more opportunities to do what we all love to do…working at home in our pyjamas!

So, let’s cover the top 5 simple techniques you can use to work at home forever, shall we?

1. Never pay for any job! There is never a good reason to pay for work, and I am amazed at how many jobseekers waste precious time and money chasing after schemes that will never pay. It wastes a lot of time you could better spend targeting your jobsearch to legitimate and valid work.

2. Get your materials ready! You are going to need to be ready before you start looking for work. You will need a specialized telecommuter’s resume, an excellent cover letter template, and an online portfolio that showcases samples of your work. Without these things in place ahead of time, you will not be ready for rapid response when an employer needs to see your stuff.

3. Make sure you have all the equipment and software you’re going to need! Depending on your skill set, you’re probably going to need special software and equipment to do your job right. Don’t expect an employer to pay for these things. A prospective employer is more likely to hire the next person who is properly equipped, rather than hire you if you expect the employer to pay for what you need to do your job.

4. Know what you do for a living! This is an absolute necessity if you want to work from home. You may think that you want to do “typing at home”, but if that’s all you can think of, then you’re wasting time. Think about how your typing skills will be useful to your employer, come up with creative applications of that skill, set up samples to show what your service looks like, and plan ahead on how much you will charge for that service. Be willing to tell prospective employers exactly what you do and how much you charge for it.

5. Change your strategy! Instead of looking for jobs that have already been posted online, and have already been taken, look for companies that are well suited for your talents. Create your own work by contacting companies that have not yet posted jobs online, and eliminate the competition. But, make sure you know exactly what service you plan to offer that company, and why it is useful to them. Don’t bother contacting companies by sending vague resumes. That technique never works! Contact targeted companies with specific services in mind, and let them know you are open to alternate suggestions.

These techniques work extremely well, and using them allowed me to build my home based service company from scratch, without spending a dime on advertising. I was broke when I started working from home, and I didn’t have a computer. Using these techniques, I was able to slowly build my business and develop a client base that has consistently earned me more money than if I was working onsite. You can do it too!

One of the ways to drive traffic to your blog posts is by having it Stumbled on StumbleUpon.

What Exactly Is StumbleUpon

In many of the forums and social networking groups that I participate in, the big discussions going on right now is that bloggers are noticing that much of the hits from traffic that they are seeing is coming from members of StumbleUpon.

StumbleUpon is a discovery engine that recommends the best of the web, personalized just for you.  Discover useful and entertaining content and information with StumbleUpon anytime, wherever you are, from any device.

I’m signed up at  StumbleUpon and also  have the Stumble Upon toolbar installed.  The tool bar is now available for Chrome, Internet Explorer and as an addon extension for Firefox.

StumbleUpon For Mobile Devices

There are also mobile apps for Android, iPhone and the iPad.

Now that I finally have my coveted  iPhone on the Verizon Wireless network, I have downloaded the StumbleUpon app for iPhone from iTunes and am able to multi-task on my smartphone by stumbling posts whenever I have some “spare” time!

Whenever I see a post that I enjoy, I give it a “Thumbs Up” and write a short review.  I have a profile telling a little about myself (my user name is Moomettes on StumbleUpon) , and have friends and followers on the network.  Through messages on the Toolbar, we suggest to each other various sites that we enjoy, and if my friends like the sites, they’ll Stumble it, and give  it a Thumbs Up.

StumbleUpon is a good tool for also discovering other bloggers in your particular niche, such as Food and Recipes, and sharing posts.

I’ve been stumbling quite a few recipe blogs using the Stumble PhotoBlog method. This is a nice option as only the photos show up under my profile stream, as visual photos are the perfect medium for food presentation!.

You can see how much traffic you’re getting from StumbleUpon by checking your stats on Google Analytics, Statcounter or Get Clicky.

Recently there have been several good articles explaining the benefits of how to use StumbleUpon  and ways to increase your traffic using StumbleUpon.

What is Stumble Upon and How Does it Work?

Are you sick of doing Google searches and constantly getting search results that just aren’t relevant to your needs?

If you know anything about how Google and other search engines work then you would already know that when you search for a particular item the result on the first page are usually the site with the most capital to invest in online marketing. In my opinion this is not a good way to find the thing you want to buy as the companies that have spent the most on online marketing are also going to need to charge top dollar for the products they sell to cover the costs of their marketing expenses.

This is the new generation of site searching and it may even one day take out the need for search engines, it is definitely a more accurate way of giving the web searcher more relevant results for what they need and soon the search engine index will become obsolete.

This constantly growing website is shaping the future of how people will find the things they want on the net by only giving results of the most heavily voted for site on the particular subject you are looking into.

I highly recommend anyone start using stumble upon the get the websites they need and if you ever find a particular page that was helpful simply use your stumble upon toolbar to give it thumbs up!

The winter solstice will be arriving not too soon enough, signifying the official beginning of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere. To me, that means lazy days in front of the hearth where I get to delve into the latest book on the New York Times Bestseller list.

Can you remember the last time you relaxed and picked up a magazine or book? Was it in school? You may not realize it, but our brains are craving new information.

I’m one of these people who love to read and also have turned into a news junkie. You either like to read or you don’t. As a child I often spent time among the stacks of the library, and one could always find me reading the latest Nancy Drew series. If you’re not into reading, perhaps the reading material is the problem. Some material is more boring than others and we all have our favorite magazines and genres. My favorite genre is Utopian Womens Mysteries. At one point in time wanted to get my Masters in Library Science.

Whenever you read a good book, it’s like entering a new world of sound and sight – seize the opportunity to find out what types of reading material sparks your senses. As real as memory, characters play out their parts and our imagination will conjure up the scenes.

Benefits of Reading

Once in your lifetime, at least one book should give you the experience of reading a book that stays in your mind. Through books, you’ll be able to travel vicariously to new lands and learn interesting tidbits and factoids. You can bet that game contestants who are prize winners on television shows such as Jeopardy are huge readers! Trivial information tidbits, in some way, can enhance and positively accentuate your life.

Try scanning the table of contents when you pick up a magazine and then see what you can learn by reading it. Start a book list and try to add something new every day to read – whether reading a book by a favorite author or article in a magazine newspaper or blog.

Besides being entertaining, reading helps to increase our vocabulary. My English professor spoke of “writing for your reader.” Newspapers and magazines are traditionally written with an 8th grade reading comprehension level. People will stop reading or stop reading articles if the words are too hard, which is their loss. If you’ve ever typed on the computer using Microsoft Word, you can easily check your own writing level and style via a tool to see what grade-level you write at.

I received the Literati Reader by Sharper Image to review, and I can’t describe how excited I am since using this nifty gadget upon it’s arrived on my doorstep!  I’ve always been tempted to try an ereader.  Before I started blogging I maintained a book list and read several each week.  However, I’ve gotten away from getting to every book on my list as being a blogger takes up a tremendous amount of time between researching and developing content, posting, social media networking and of course, administration and putting out technical issue fires!  The Literati is portable, and will enable me to make better use of my “free” time!

• The Literati is one of the few color eReaders and has a 7” color LCD screen (480 x 800 resolution)

• QWERTY Keypad

• Has a built in connection to Kobo, a global eReading service platform with access to nearly 2 million titles of books and magazines and  (1.8 million of them free)

• SD card slot allows users to add storage (up to 8GB).

• Ongoing updates and new features will regularly be added.

Sneak peek: In the November-December  time frame, a number of reading enhancements will be available, including: Night-reading mode, custom bookshelves and bookmarks and “dog ears” (a way to mark your favorite pages).

• There is a storm of color content coming – everything from children’s books and cookbooks to textbooks, magazines and newspapers.

• The Literati brings great flexibility to the reading experience. Not only can the Literati store hundreds of titles, it also lets users enjoy those titles on their laptop, smart phone and desktop computer.

Product Features:

1. Page turning is as easy as using the capacitive paging buttons on
either side of the screen or the right and left buttons on the D-Pad. The page turning speed is quick with no lag.

2. While reading, users also can select a specific chapter by using the Menu button to go to the table of contents, next chapter and previous
chapter

3. Users also can change the typeface and font size to their liking through the Display button

4. The screen can be dimmed or brightened to the user’s preference.

5. The Literati always bookmarks the page you last read. When
users open the book again, they will return to the same place where
they left off reading. For example, if you stop reading on your Literati
at page 54 of  The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and then sync your library, you can open the same book on your mobile app or laptop and it will automatically pick up exactly where you left off – the Literati will save your place for you.

This is just one more way the Literati makes reading easier.

Purchasing A Book

Purchasing a book is done in approximately a minute. Users connect to the bookstore via WiFi. Once connected, users can browse, purchase and download books.

My User Experience:

The Literati packaging is quite innovative in that it’s designed to actually look like a book!

There’s a Quick-Start Guide, as well as a more detailed 27 page Instruction Manual.  I recommend downloading the online user PDF guide and saving to your home computer.

After unpacking, one has to charge the battery for several hours before first use.

The Literati also allows one to connect to your wireless network. Recently I purchased a Netbook and was somewhat familiar with the process. Just make certain you know your router’s key code and password.

I liked how the Literati Instruction Manual also showed how users will manage their library, including adding and removing titles from their Literati, changing the sort order, viewing, etc.  The graphics in the printed user guide as well as the online PDF guide, however are not too clear, and can definitely stand improvement.

Once your Literati is powered on, using the Literati is as easy as taking
a book off the shelf (“Books” Tab), moving to the “I’m Reading” Tab to view everything you are reading, loading PDFs (“Docs” Tab) or buying a book from the built-in bookstore (“Store Tab”).

Upcoming Highlights:

A feature that I’m definitely impressed by is the “DOCS” tab, which is where PDFs will be loaded (through USB or the SD Card slot.  The review product that I received has this function enabled,  including loading content through USB or SD card) although it has not yet been fully tested. Magazines and periodicals will be available for purchase and download very shortly.

I tested several different methods for transferring and loading books to the Literati:

Add Books By Dragging and Dropping Onto the Literati

• I have quite a collection of almost 100 PDF ebooks that I collect on various topics such as internet marketing, SEO and also blogging resource tips and techniques, and was able to transfer all of them via USB from my home computer to the Literati.  Now I’ll be able to read them at my leisure without being tethered to my computer!

Adding Books Wirelessly

• I logged on to the Kobo Store directly from the Literati.  As I’m a fan of Oprah’s Book Club, I chose two titles -Freedom, by Jonathan Franzen; and also Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.  Once an account is opened at Kobo, you can search by category, author or title.  I supplied a charge card, and the purchase and download took place in less than one minute!

Add Books Using the Kobo Desktop Application

• I did download the desktop application which installed effortlessly.  I did not, however, purchase using the desktop application. Had I done so, the purchase would have downloaded to my desktop, and I could then transfer by USB connection to the Literati.

Add Books Using an SD Card

• I don’t have an SD card (yet) for the Literati, but just might very well purchase one.

As a Librarian wannabe, a favorite past-time of mine is to pick up books from tag, garage, yard and library sales. Antique or used book stores fascinate me and I could spend hours on end browsing around. Such antique stores are usually high on my must-see list when I’m traveling or out for a day trip!

Recommendations:

• I found the battery life to be approximately 4-6 hours, and have searched to see if there’s a car adapter for it, which would make it nice to take on long car trips.
• Although it does come with a hard protective case, I’m also thinking of getting a 10-inch netbook-type carrying case so that I can also transport the e-reader, charger and USB cord together easily when I travel.
• Additionally, I’m adding my own screen protector film to it to avoid scratches to the viewing screen, as one isn’t supplied.




The Literati WiFi eBook Reader will make it easier for you to read your favorite magazines and books while waiting for your appointments at a business meeting, doctor’s office, spa, or the kids’ hockey or dance practice!

Reading might even increase longevity by keeping your mind sharp and cobwebs from appearing from lack of regular stimulation.

If you have been maintaining a book list and adding recommendations that you’ve been meaning to read, turn off the TV and try winding down your day before you drift off to sleep by reading a book on the e-reader. Expand your horizon via new ways of thinking.

Stretch Your Clothing Shopping Budget




Since Spring Fling week is happening, if you like to dress your kids in the latest boutique clothing without spending a fortune, it can be done easily if you scour eBay for the trendiest items.  Kids grow like weeds, and often only get to wear pricey items once or twice before they outgrow them.

As a former Power Seller on eBay (I now sell on Bonanzle) where I sold boutique children’s clothing, I’m going to spill my secrets, as boutique childrens clothing is no longer my focus.  This post is the first of a series, where first, I’ll show you HOW to find those American, European and Indie boutique items, and secondly, how to turn around and sell them – so in essence, your initial investment will drop considerably.

When my granddaughter, ‘Lil Moomette was born, I had a blast outfitting her in the most adorable, trendiest, expensive outfits, by both USA, European designer brand names.

How did I do this?  Like mommy blogger forums, I belonged to several different forums that specialized specifically in topics dealing with both buying boutique items at a low price, and then turning around and reselling those gently worn items back at the highest price.

There’s a science to it, and if you stay with me throughout this series, I’ll let you know how to do it.  This will be the “short version,” simplified series, because if you really want to know more, you’ll have to join those forums yourself.  I am no longer affiliated with any such forums, so there’s nothing in-it-for-me here, except to give my readers a little heads-up.

Selling for a profit on eBay is easy when you have kids. People are earning hundreds of dollars a month by selling kid related items. Here are some general ideas to help you get started.

Boutique Brand Items or Pageant Fashions to Look For on eBay or in Consignment Shops

Kids clothing is a good money maker on eBay or in consignment shops. First, you’ll want to know what the most popular boutique brand names are, and how you’ll be able to find them.

Some of the more famous brand names to look for are:

Zulily and Haven Gir; Corky and Company; Janie and Jack; Right Bank Babies; The Childrens Place; Totsy; bTrendie; Rothschild; Greggy Girl; Hartstrings, NAARTJie; Talbots Kids; Ladybug; Anthologyinc; Chezami; Jottum; Meli Meli; Boutique Miabambina Co.; Enchanted Enfant Courture; Will’beth;  Boutique IKKS; Amanda Remembered; Baby LuLu; Baby Nay; Bailey Boys; Balu; Bear Feet; Beaux Et Belles;  Beetlejuice; Cakewalk; Catimini; Chicken Noodle; Chipie; Chouchouter; Clayeux; Deux-par-Deux; Elefantenl; Gregory Girl; Hannah Banana; Hanna Andersson; Indygo Artwear; Jacadi; JM Originals; Jean Bourget; Jottum; Kissy Kissy (Small Sizes); La Mere Michele; Le Top; Lili Gaufrette Provence; Lilly Pulitzer; Lipstick; Little Mass; Luna Luna Copenhagen; Marese; Michael Simon; Mis Tee V Us; Mish Mish; Mullberri Bush; Munki Munki; Oilily; Oink Baby!; Orient Express; Petit Bateau; Petit Faune; Psketti; Room Seven; Rubbies; Sarah Louise (England); Sashal; Shilav; So Kiwi; Tea Collection; Tickles & Giggles; Toff Togs; Trish Scully; Za Za Couture; Zoodles; Elepantito and of course, any Custom Boutique Resell items.

Go to eBay and look up a “lot” of size six girl’s clothes. You’ll find that they’re expensive! The average price for a lot of 20 good conditioned clothes is about $35.00.   You can check recent completeds under the “Advanced” search function to get a feel for what the lots have been selling for.

Look for auctions or “Buy-It-Now” where the items are bundled into different lots by categories.  For example, bundled girls dresses, or bundled girls play clothes.  You’ll specifically want to look for bundled boutique items; perhaps not all the same brands will be bundled together, but you’ll find several different boutique brands mixed together.  Occasionally there will be a Baby Gap, Gap, or Gymboree brand mixed in with the lot. Look for items that have at least six each of different types.

Lots of any item can be acquired for a more reasonable cost than single items unless the item is unique or high priced. For example, a hand embroidered dress that is quite pricey  may be offered for sale by itself instead of bundled with other basic dresses.

Now is the time to start looking for those spring and summer boutique and brand-name items, as sellers will be looking to unload their childrens clothes, so that they can in-turn purchase new items for their kids wardrobes.

You can use these tips to start looking for fall back-to-school fashions, when eBay sellers will start listing in July or August.

In an earlier post, I spoke of how I recommended to a fellow forum member the benefits of how I started several blogs to promote my Shoppes site, eBay store and affiliates. Here’s additional tips to support that suggestion.

Want Website Traffic? Start A Free Blog!

Blogging has become increasingly popular in the past couple of years. There are more and more blogs created everyday on a vast array of topics. Both personal and business.

If you own a website, then you know how difficult it is to get exposure to it. Creating a blog is one of the best resources there is today for receiving that exposure.

Like anything else…it takes hard work on creating interesting content on a new blog and getting traffic to it. Focus on your website or business when creating new posts and always try and add something new everyday. Try and connect with your creative side…we all possess some level of creativity! Give it a try…you just may surprise yourself at what you manage to conjure up.

Topics:

Concentrate on what people may be searching for today on the Internet. A lot of people are searching for content for their existing websites, marketing advice, and/or finding work at home jobs and home businesses.

While some people may be just searching for friendship and are interested in simply having a good time…getting to know others, conversing about current events, funny jokes, and the like. Some people are interested in infant clothing, toys, various baby items, and parenting tips or advice.

For example: If your website focuses on women’s interests…then center your blog around women’s interests, support groups, parenting issues, bargain shopping, household items, recipes, or whatever your website content may be. Try and make your blog posts as interesting as possible to try and keep people coming back for more.

Tips On Getting Comments:

1) Simply invite people to join in on the conversations and encourage them to comment on the various posts within your blog description.
2) If you own a website and message board, and you have advertising space available for other webmasters or business owners…announce a contest on your message board offering free advertising for the person that posts the most comments on your blog. ( I have a good friend that has done this very thing and it’s working great for her.)
3) Give people a chance to self promote their websites or businesses through their comments.
4) Offer something free…for example, a free ebook or some kind of software.
5) Participate in message boards, announcing your blog, and request their opinion. Ask them to place a comment post and share their thoughts and opinions about your blog.

Promoting Your Blog:

1) Advertise your blog on various message forums.
2) Include your blog link in your signature within message forums and emails.
3) Submit your blog in blog directories.
4) Exchange links with other bloggers.
5) Write articles relating to blogging and submit them to article directories.
6) Advertise your blog in various newsletters and ezines.
7) Include your blog link on any websites you may have.

One Last Thought:

Have fun with your blog. If there is something (off the wall) that you want to share or you think is really amusing…share it in your blog. Write about anything you feel like writing. The possibilities are endless!

Today I’m visiting the blog, eBay Selling Coach, for real tips and practical information about eBay selling from stay-at-home mom, eBay Power Seller, and entrepreneur Suzanne Wells. You will find all kinds of cool stuff on her blog – ranging from podcasts about eBay selling, where to buy your eBay inventory locally, other eBay resources, links to other legitimate work at home opportunities, eBay how-to videos, and informative guest posts. Suzanne is also the author of The Stay at Home Mom’s Guide to Successful eBay Selling (Amazon) and has years of real-world experiences to share with other sellers about how to make money on eBay. 

One thing you won’t find here is pushy sales copy about “Buy My Proven eBay System” – Suzanne, aka the eBay Coach, just tells it like it is and gives away more information for free than you would pay for on other sites. 

From the moment I saw her informative posts on a WAHM eBay forum I used to belong to, I knew that Suzanne knew her stuff. Through private-messaging, we soon becamse friends and I was so excited when she decided to establish her own forum to help eBay sellers worldwide. What do I like best about this blog? Suzanne speaks to her readers in a conversational tone as if she were your favorite sister. And you know that all the informational tips Suzanne’s giving you are tried and true.
